Community Justice in Salford
Here you will find the latest information, news and events from the Salford Community Justice Initiative, along with details of how you can get involved in their work.
Community Justice in Salford joins the criminal justice agencies together in partnership with the communities they serve: working with local people to tackle the problems that make their lives a misery. The Community Justice Initiative initially tackled crimes and anti-social behaviour affecting people living in the wards of Eccles, Winton and Barton, it is currently expanding to cover the whole of the city of Salford.
Community Justice in Salford is the second community justice initiative in England and Wales and builds upon the development of the North Liverpool Community Justice Centre. Both projects are overseen by the Community Justice National Programme Team, a trilateral team involving the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice and the Crown Prosecution Service.
